Inclusive climbing discovery

A first climbing experience built around safety, enjoyment, autonomy and each person’s actual needs.

La Via welcomes people with visible or invisible disabilities and neurodivergent profiles, including ADHD and autism. The setting, instructions, pace and sensory environment are prepared in advance.

A personalised approach

Adapt the activity — not the person

Performance is not the objective. The aim is to make a positive experience of movement, height, equipment and interaction possible, with choices and breaks at every stage.

Prior conversation

The person, family, educator or institution shares useful needs, preferences, triggers and points of attention.

Predictable framework

Announced programme, short or visual instructions, breaks, a quieter space and prepared transitions where helpful.

Chosen progression

Equipment, route, height and duration are introduced progressively, without pressure or comparison.

Support people welcome

A relative, educator or support person may take part to strengthen trust and continuity.

Preparation

How a session is designed

1. First conversation

A confidential exchange helps understand the request, the person’s strengths and useful adaptations.

2. Choosing the setting

A quieter gym, suitable time, small group or individual session, duration and equipment are agreed together.

3. Progressive discovery

The venue, harness, rope and wall are approached at a chosen pace, with the option to stop at any time.

4. Adjustment

A simple review after the session helps decide on any continuation and improve the framework.
